Description
Defining reliability can sometimes be tricky, but it’s easy to recognise when it’s absent—and just as easy to take for granted when it’s present. In fact, many aspects of our daily lives have become so reliable that we hardly notice when things work exactly as expected.
At Pro-Reliability Solutions, we focus on unlocking the full potential of reliability within your organisation. Our goal is to inspire you with what’s possible and what can be achieved when reliability becomes a core value, woven into the very fabric of your organisation’s culture.
In this presentation, we will share insights gained from our experience working with various organisations to deliver reliability excellence. We’ll introduce a flexible framework that can guide your organisation on its journey to becoming a high-reliability organisation.
Biography
With a remarkable 39-year career in maintenance and reliability, Gary’s journey began as an apprentice maintenance technician with Imperial Chemical Industries (ICI) in the UK. He was soon seconded to ICI’s Manufacturing Technology group, where he received training in reliability-centered maintenance, root cause analysis, and total productive manufacturing techniques. After 15 years with ICI, Gary relocated to New Zealand to join Shell Todd Oil Services in Kapuni as a site reliability engineer, where he developed an optimized maintenance program for the site’s assets. He later transitioned to Australia, working for five years with a reliability engineering consultancy.
In 2009, Gary returned to the UK to work with Syngenta as a site reliability engineer. At Syngenta, he led the implementation of the Root Cause Analysis process, utilized Isograph AWB software for reliability improvements, and facilitated studies in the UK and Switzerland. Following Syngenta, Gary joined Rockwell Automation, assisting in the creation and global deployment of their Strategic Maintenance program. In 2011, he re-joined the Australian reliability consultancy, launching their European operations and expanding their team and client base across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
In 2018, Gary founded his own company, Pro-Reliability Solutions, where he serves as Director, Trainer, and Facilitator.
