Biography

Ian currently holds the position of Engineering Best Practice Manager for Engineering Services, IFM, Corporate Solutions, an organization providing IFM client engineering solutions. Engineering Best Practices are founded on understanding the risk to business operations of asset failure, understanding how and why assets fail and establishing actions to predict or prevent these failures, together with strong Continuous Improvement to iteratively improve service delivery and asset performance. Within JLL Ian is recognized as a global reliability expert and advises senior managers and clients on all aspects of reliability and asset management including assessing asset management systems against the ISO 55000 Standard. External to JLL Ian co-chairs the UK Chapter of AMP (Association of Asset Management Professionals) and is a member of a ReliabilityWeb.com’s Sustainability and Reliability Special Interest Group. A strategic thinker who develops pragmatic and practical solutions to improve asset reliability Ian lead the team that developed JLL’s Next Generation Maintenance product and headed its deployment globally. In EMEA Ian leads the deployment of Engineering Best Practices and has delivered substantial savings to clients through improved asset performance and labour utilization. Working closely with mobile engineering services (Integral) and with JLLT Ian has led the use of sensors and IoT technology to optimize maintenance at manned, mobile or hybrid sites.
