Electrical and Current Signature Analysis of Electric Machines and Driven Equipment

Howard Penrose, President, MotorDoc LLC Diamond Room

Description

Electrical and Current Signature Analysis are technologies that identify electrical and mechanical condition of equipment. In this workshop we will identify the differences between ESA and MCSA, how it works, including types, and the identification of condition and severity. We will also discuss the fault types and how they are detected in power quality, electric machine, and driven equipment. We will also identify how component losses are measured and then associated with defect progression, energy costs and emissions. We will also identify the relationships between traditional vibration measurements and ESA/MCSA dB and watt values.
