Biography
Jason Tranter was the founder of Mobius Institute. He began his career way back in 1984 when vibration analyzers required power cords and personal computers didn’t exist. Jason developed vibration monitoring systems and performed vibration testing at his Australian company before selling and moving to the United States in 1990. He continued developing systems, including an expert automated diagnostic system at DLI Engineering.
In 1999, now back in Australia, Jason founded Mobius Institute, initially focused on computer-based training with iLearnVibration, moving into classroom training and certification in 2004 when the ISO standards were published.
For 25 years, Jason led Mobius Institute, creating the majority of the training programs, developing or designing the simulations and animations, writing countless articles, speaking at conferences around the world, and writing three books on reliability. With training centers in 100 countries and over 70,000 people formally trained, Mobius Institute became the world’s largest provider of condition monitoring and reliability improvement training and accredited certification.
